Baby Line Dancing

Maddie has had a pair of cowgirl boots since about March that my Mom and Zack bought her, and she is just now able to fit in them. Her feet are so little, it's ridiculous. I put them on her today when Zack was here so he could see, and a song was playing on the computer, and she, of course, started dancing. Luckily my camera was beside me and I was able to record her dancing. She LOVES music and LOVES to dance, but I haven't been able to record it yet. So here ya go. She looks like she is line dancing, well, sort of.

Not So Busy Lately

We've had some things going on, and I have forgotten my camera for all of the events. Last Wednesday, our whole family went bowling for my Mom's birthday. It was so much fun. I'm kinda into bowling now. Thursday was her actual birthday. Mom, Maddie, and myself spent the day in Shreveport. We shopped, and shopped, and shopped some more, and we had lunch. That night Dad, Clint, Zack, and DJ came up and we ate at Olive Garden--Mom's favorite. It was a nice day and I hope she enjoyed it.

We had a nice and quiet 4th of July. Maddie and I went to Mom and Dad's and had hamburgers--yum!! We came home early that night because we were so pooped from the previous 2 nights.

Other than that we've been doing little stuff getting ready for vacation. We're going to Disneyworld on the 27th of this month. We're so excited about that!! Maybe there will be more to write about later!!

It's Shake n Bake...And I helped

Yesterday, as I said in my last post, was Clint's birthday. The beginning of the day we spent with my mom in Natchitoches. We did the whole lunch thing, did some shopping, and then my dad and Zack wanted us to stop by the feed store because they're selling some baby chicks and wanted Landon and Maddie to see them. The kids loved them. However, Maddie was extremely excited about them. She kept squealing everytime she'd touch one. She finally picked one up all by herself. The only sad part to that was that it was AROUND IT'S NECK!! She about strangled it to death!! She was all smiles the whole time. We took the poor chick away from her, and without blinking she picked the same one up by it's butt and started shaking it. I'm not too sure if the poor thing is going to survive. We had to put the chicks up, but luckily I snapped a few pics.

I've also been working with Maddie on feeding herself, like with utensils instead of just her fingers. It's so hard for me because I hate messes!! She's doing pretty well, and so are my nerves!!

Mom also snapped some pics of me and the kiddos, you know, since moms are hardly ever in the pics!!

Happy Birthday Clint

Today was my older brother Clint's birthday--he's 29. We spent the afternoon with the family and had a birthday dinner with yummy cake and ice cream to celebrate. It was fun and I think he enjoyed his day. We love you!!

T-ball Party at the Park

Last night we went to Landon's t-ball party. They had it at a park so all the kids could play. The coaches bought everyone pizza and they had cupcakes as well. It was fun and I know all the kids had fun playing together.

Here's what has been happening with us. Sorry I haven't posted lately. Joseph got a new grill for Father's Day, so we've been grilling and letting the kids play in a wading pool outside. They have so much fun together!! Joseph and I also went to the Temple this past weekend. It was a Ward trip, and we rode down with Jared and Jamie. It was so nice to get away and have great company!! A big thanks goes out to my mom for keeping the kiddos--it was much appreciated!! Monday we had an activity FHE and we went bowling. The sad part--I forgot my camera!! It was tons of fun!! We hope everyone else's summer is going great!!

She's so goofy

So we're done with swimming lessons. Woo-who!! I love watching him swim, but it was so dang hot and Maddie was miserable by the end every day. We finished the week with a bang--he learned so much and has so much confidence in the water. He can hold his breath underwater for about 15 seconds, tread water, float on his stomach, and swim across the whole pool by himself. He also went down the slide and swam to the ladder by himself. Yay Landon!!

Maddie was hot and tired

We had a great weekend, too. Busy, but great. Here's a cute pic of my kiddos playing. Have a great day!!
